BOB CURRAN
Bob is an experienced Motion Graphics Animator and Visual Journalist. He graduated from MassArt in 2018, was the Visual Content Producer at WCVB for the Reinventing Local TV News Project in 2019, and has been an Animation Editor with Hearst Television since 2021.
Bob’s career has been defined by expanding the applications of animation into the world of journalism in both a commercial and academic setting. The use of animation and infographics in news media is still largely untapped. Each new project has brought an opportunity to break new ground and provide audiences with a story that provides a new and informative perspective that couldn’t be possible without animation.
Bob is also a proven producer. Having written stories centered around the gun violence epidemic facing America and the young people afflicted by these tragedies as a result of negligent policy.
Colleagues have called Bob “Passionate” and “A man with his finger on the pulse”. Bob is a Visual Journalist because he believes that spreading reliable and clarified information to the masses is the best use of his abilities. That a strong and free press is what is key to a healthy democracy.
